The Good: Great visuals, Risk, and Confidence is very well implemented, infrastructure mode is fun, lots of things to do, robust character profiler
The Bad: Analog swing is too touchy, graphics still could have been better, all the items in the store look the same, nothing special if you’re a Tiger vet.
This is the first Tiger Woods I’ve ever played and I have to say it’s pretty damn impressive. I’m so surprised how accurate everything is on the PSP. The Gamers Face is pretty robust and so is the stat building. There’s PLENTY of courses and matches to play. The new Risk and Confidence is pretty useful and can make your shot better or worse. If you try to take a very risky shot your confidence may plummet and you’ll go into a mini-game which can raise it. The mini-games are pretty fun and actually make sense as well.
What’s new this time is infrastructure which really boosts the replay value. The only issue is the analog swing is a bit touchy and not entirely accurate. This may be great for first timers or maybe someone who only played last years. If you like golf then pick this up.
