The Good: Excellent sense of realism, simple, fun to pass around
The Bad: Too simple for some, needs more modes
This is a pretty original concept that is simple to pick up and play. You use the accelerometer only and you follow a UFO around on your camera and try to keep it on screen. The game is very clever using real images and setting them at different depths to create a realistic experience. You can hear women in the back giving you advice on where it went, as well as the blinker in the car, and outside noises. The game has a shaky cam/grainy look that even adds to the realism.
The game is deceptively clever is not just a huge gimmick. The whole point of the game is to try to keep it on screen for as long as possible. If it’s on screen for longer than just a few short seconds your battery life will run down and it’s game over. Endless games like these are great time killers on the iDevices and may not be revolutionary or highly immersive, but it’s simple and that’s what matters. This game is for everyone and passing it around to friends and family is great fun.
