The Good: Comic art style is nice, simple shooting, sexy wallpapers, OpenFeint
The Bad: Too simple, gets hard way too quickly, no upgrade system
Zombie shooters on the App Store are abundant, but AmB stands out just a bit thanks to its nice comic book art style, simple game play, and nice wallpapers. You play as Cheyenne trying to save her boyfriend, and instead of dual sticks you just tap the zombies. This makes game play both easier and harder since you can’t move to avoid being hit.
You can find weapon pickups but you can’t store any which is a shame. I would have liked to see some sort of upgrade system like in Alive 4-Ever. The backgrounds change as you move through the city and new zombies are slowly introduced, but the game gets too hard way too quickly. 5 stages in and you’re struggling to stay alive. If they get too close you can use your sword on them, toss grenades, but there’s just something missing like a super attack to help you out. ZAmB is a decent zombie shooter and it’s worth playing just for the fun boss fights and sexy wallpapers. I highly recommend this for a time killer, or just to zombie fans.
