The Good: Very mobile, ultra thin, nice rubber bottom, micro fiber material grips your mouse slightly, can store it under laptop lids
The Bad: Feels too thin, a little small, very minimal in design
If you’re in a pinch for money, or have some sort of gaming laptop and are always on the go, then the Kabuto is for you. It isn’t for people who like hard mats, and like to feel their mouse slide around. The Kabuto is made of microfiber so it grips your mouse a little. It took me a while to get used to this, but in the end, you just turn up your DPI a little and acceleration.
The mat is very soft and thin so it feels like a piece of fabric material. I prefer mouse pads to be a little more sturdy, but you can close your laptop lid on this thing to save room, or just roll it up. This is probably the most mobile mouse pad I have ever seen, and also lacks any kind of cool design. This mat is the bare minimum, but it works well and has a nice rubber bottom so it doesn’t slide around.
The mat is also kind of small, so anyone who likes to throw their arm around while gaming will have problems here. People who only move their mouse little, to moderate strokes should consider this mat. My main concern is that the thin material may end up getting destroyed and ruined in time, but a follow-up review will determine that. The way it stands the Kabuto is a cheap, easy way to game on the go or anyone who likes to keep their mouse mats minimal.
